For over 70 years Australian Motorcycle News has been the fortnightly bible of motorcycling.

“AMCN It’s the latest news, the most comprehensive bike tests, the most in-depth racing coverage from club level through to world championship level and it’s written by people who love, live and breathe motorcycling.”

This time, our unique street legal beast the FONZ NKD+ was taken for a road test by motorcycle journalist Kel Buckley, who has been a motorcycle journalist for more than 20 years.

Buckley was impressed with FONZ’s mid-spec NKD model and highlighted features such as the bike’s unique and powerful design, high build quality and customisable options. In the test ride, Buckley was able to understand the main concept of the NKD: a powerful bike made to be the optimal sustainable option for commuters.

With a manufacturing site in Sydney, FONZ is able to customise the series models to suit everyones’ needs and Buckley captured that as a standing aspect of our brand: “Zero emissions and made in Australia, the FONZ NKD can be anything you want it to be. Literally”

Kel also adds that NKD stands out from other bikes for its performance on Eco mode: “Eco mode is one of three selectable maps standard on all three variants, joining Street and Beast. And while an Eco mode on other electric commuters I’ve ridden would reduce acceleration or restrict speed quite noticeably, I couldn’t really discern any difference between the three modes on my admittedly short inner-city test ride” wrote Buckley.
